This white sauce may perhaps be low in unwanted fat, but it can be complete of flavor.
Amount of servings
SERVES twelve
- Lower Sodium

Elements
- two cups unwanted fat-no cost milk
- two teaspoons canola oil
- 1 tiny onion, diced
- 1 1/two cups sliced contemporary mushrooms
- two tablespoons all-intent flour
- 1 tablespoon chopped chives
- Floor black pepper, to flavor
- 1 teaspoon sherry (optional)
Directions
In a tiny saucepan about low warmth, heat the milk.
In a nonstick skillet, warmth the canola oil about medium warmth. Add the onions and saute for about 3 minutes. Add the sliced mushrooms and saute a further 3 minutes. Stir in the flour and proceed to prepare dinner a further two to 3 minutes.
Whisk in the warmed milk. Proceed to prepare dinner. Stir often until thickened, about 3 minutes. Add chives, pepper and sherry, if desired. Retain the mushroom sauce warmed about low warmth until served.
