Petechiae – Mayo Clinic

Petechiae are pinpoint, round places that seem on the pores and skin as a final result of bleeding. The bleeding triggers the petechiae to seem purple, brown or purple. Petechiae (puh-TEE-kee-ee) normally seem in clusters and may glance like a rash. Usually flat to the contact, petechiae will not drop coloration when you push on them. Often they seem on the inner surfaces of the mouth or the eyelids.

Petechiae are popular and may suggest a selection of problems, ranging from insignificant to very significant.
